Go the extra mile, why not?!

Yes, you can go the extra mile when you find yourself behind the wheel of a Lexus ES300h.

The Hybrid is a refined, luxury ride that boasts not only comfort and plenty of leg room for the kiddos, but fewer trips to the pump is one of the most convincing factors when you are a mom with a busy agenda.

The 300h is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor that together deliver 200 horsepower in comparison to the standard 268 horsepower in the non-hybrid version. The luxury sedan has enough power to get you where you need to go and knowing that I was averaging 40 miles per gallon, I didn't have to think twice about driving my kids all around the city.

When I first turned on the car, it was so quiet that I wasn't quite sure it was even on. Lexus has certainly made a name for itself in the market as one of the quietest models available and with the ease of toggling between Eco and Sport mode, there's no doubt that the Lexus continues to win over fans, both moms and dads alike.

Unlike my minivan which undoubtedly lacks the cool factor, my kids were stoked to be dropped off in the carline in a sweet, slick ride. Although sedan doesn't scream out as the obvious kid hauler, don't let that deceive you. I managed to fit my son's race bike, all his gear and a few days worth of groceries in the roomy trunk with ease.

What's to expect in 2017? A six-speed automatic transmission or a continuously variable transmission might be considered in 2017 Lexus ES 300 h. The models top speed will be about 130 mph and the base model starting price might be around $42,000.
