Hypoxi- The Incredible Shrinking Lady?

Flash back to 1994 when Lily Tomlin starred in the epic comedy, The Incredible Shrinking Woman. If you haven't seen the movie, Lily Tomlin played an ordinary suburban housewife and mother of two and she slowly started shrinking because she accidently ingested a combo of perfume and household cleaners.

I had recently gone on a trip to Oahu and ate my fair share of poi and deep fried fish. Don't get me wrong, I had some amazing farm to table fresh meals with organic greens and the freshest fruit, but when I came back to the mainland, I was feeling...well rather bloated! I nearly felt like I had gained a dress size.

It didn't seem bother me too much, as I usually teeter-totter between a size 8 and size 10. Not fantastic, but without making up excuses, I am a busy mom and deadlines distract me from eating well during the day or I should say, eating at all! I know, bad.

I wanted to look better in a swimsuit this summer and slim down for my next trip to Palm Springs for my 10th wedding anniversary at the end of May, so I recently started the Hypoxi training system and it was a great alternative for me as I am not a huge fan of large scale gyms. I started to see and feel results after two sessions, so my motivation was high and I started holding myself accountable for getting healthy. I drank more water than usual and kept a food journal which is essential for success!

My problem areas were my stomach, hips, butt and legs. Brooke my trainer at the Biltmore Hypoxi studio suggested a combination of Dermatology (a machine that aids in reducing cellulite, puffy skin and uneven skin tones)

and L250 (the stand up stationary bike) that targets stubborn fat and cellulite around hips, buttocks, thighs, lower back and lower stomach.

I posted pictures on my Instagram and Twitter during my last 6 sessions and since then a few of my friends have signed up and are having awesome results too! I go back tomorrow to get measured and then I can see how far I have come in such a short time! Thank you for following me along my journey to get back on track, healthy and fit!
